Private dining and events
Situated in the heart of Homansbyen in Oslo, Josefine Vertshus offers charming surroundings ideal for work events and for celebrating with family and friends. The house is suitable for both informal gatherings as well as parties with up to 150 guests. We have three separate areas, situated on separate floors.
Ground floor
Offers a warm and casual atmosphere suitable for most occasions.
Hosts 70 -130 guests.
First floor
This venue is suitable for more formal dinner parties. Enjoy a drink before dinner in our reception room. Hosts 30 - 65 guests.
The garden
Organise your dinner party in our
garden, or use it as a reception area before your dinner.
Basement
Suitable for less formal parties. Offers a cosy atmosphere in an old wine cellar with fireplace. Hosts 30 – 60 guests.
Booking the venue for dinner parties is 4.000 NOK, payable in advance and is considered a cancellation fee. Account number 1609.04.86660 Josefine Vertshus AS.

Weekly events
During the weekdays we organise jam sessions, concerts and stand up.
Tuesdays – Jam sessions
Experience Oslo’s liveliest jam sessions, headed by Dr. Ole Marius Gaasø with friends, every Tuesday at Josefines. You will find experienced as well as up and coming musicians playing and singing. And if you fancy, do bring your instrument and join in.
Doors open at 7pm. Jam sessions from 8pm until 11.30pm (CC: 120 kr, students 70kr and musicians 50kr).
Wednesdays – Josefine Visecene
Josefine Visescene or “Folkscene” arrange new concerts every Wednesday, headed by Kari Svendsen and Jørn Simen Øverli. For over 20 years Josefine Visecene has been a popular meeting place for this music genre.
Doors open at 7pm. Concerts from 8.30pm until 11pm. Price and program here.
Thursdays – Stand up
Every Thursday “Reis deg komikerklubb” organises stand up club nights at Josefines. You will find established, as well as up and coming comedians on stage. Regrettably most of the shows are in Norwegian, but occasionally we do have English speaking comedians, so do not forget to stay up to date on the program.
